Austerity times….

As most of us know were in austerity times, times are hard, moneys worth little and prices are going up all the time.
Cuts are hitting every sector, and communities are hard hit by services closing due to cuts! So who does our local community turn to when theres no services left? How do we come together as a community? Tackle problems?
I remember reading an journal article about porcupines in winter and how the huddle together when there cold but there spikes drive them apart until they are cold again…this brings to mind community engagement and how we as communities come together when times are tough, but when problems cannot be overcome or we believe different were drove apart. This needs to be happening more in these austerity times, we need one another to get by in life….
